The first card was a crudely mounted pair from which Paul Lowry's dead eyes, their vitreous darkened with blood, stared back at me from beyond the pale alongside his hapless, anonymous prisoner, both of them hanging from the rafter as pathetically as on the night they died: it was one of the most sublime images I'd ever put to glass.
